Michael S Kramer age 81. Beloved husband of Kristin (nee Booth) Kramer. Loving father of Betsie (Pat) Sassen and Michael (Gina) Kramer. Stepfather of Franklin, Weston (Britta) and Taylor Struwe. Dear grandfather of Tierney, Connell and Francesca. Fond brother of John (Jeanne) Kramer. Uncle, cousin, and friend of many. Mike was married to Mary Liz Connell in 1965 and she passed away in 1999.
He was born in Chicago, Illinois and he eventually moved to Winnetka, Illinois where he attended St. Faith, Hope, and Charity elementary school. He graduated from New Trier High School and went to St. Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio and graduated with a degree in Psychology and Business. After college, he was in the Naval Air Reserves in Glenview where he repaired planes.
He had a long and prosperous career with General Motors, mostly in the bus and truck division. Two career highlights included the Syclone and Typhoon, two high-performance Sports Utility Vehicles, produced in the early 90's. He was an absolute expert on cars and was passionate about them.
The service will be held on Saturday, November 5th at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of St. Mary, 201 East Illinois Rd, Lake Forest, IL 60045. A Celebration of Life Kramer Bash will be at The Glen Club, located at 2901 W. Lake Avenue in Glenview, Illinois, 60026 from 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please direct all donations to The Springs of Vernon Hills, 350 S. Milwaukee Avenue in Vernon Hills, Illinois, 60061 in memory of Michael Kramer. Please be sure to add the last portion to the "memo" section of the check.

Remembering Mike, Sue added a men´s corner because of Mike at the Spring´s of Vernon Hills. 50 " TV for ball games, sports, fun and laughter. A kind and gentle soul he was. We all loved him the moment we meet him. Our blessing! May his memory be eternal we will miss you Mike!
