Michael Dean Kroeker

On Thursday, November 20, 2025, Michael Kroeker- beloved father, grandfather, brother, and partner passed away at the age of 70.

Michael was born on August 11, 1955, in Bakersfield, California. He attended Richland School and graduated from Shafter High School in 1973. Raised on his family's farm in Shafter as the youngest of five children, Michael learned the farming business from his father, Leland, and his grandfather, Jake. He later took over the family farm himself and spent many years working alongside his youngest son, Jacob.

In 1978, Michael married, and in 1985 he became the proud father of the first of his four children. In his later years, he found companionship and a devoted lifelong partnership in Tina, with whom he shared a home in Bakersfield, California until his passing.

Michael was known for his quiet strength, steady wisdom, and unwavering dedication to his family. He had a deep love for agriculture and felt most at peace working the land. He also had a passion for mechanics, motorcycles, airplanes, and NASCAR. Michael and Tina cherished their cross-country motorcycle trips, traveling to events and races together and international cruises. Above all, nothing brought him more joy than time spent with his children and grandchildren, whom he loved beyond measure.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Leland and Peggy Kroeker, and his brother, Robert Kroeker. He is survived by his partner Tina Den Adel; his brother Richard Kroeker; his sisters Janet Thomas and Linda Bellows; his children Michelle, Blaine, Julianna, and Jacob; and his beloved grandchildren.

In honor of Michael, there will be a viewing and graveside memorial service, followed by a reception. Viewing will be held at Peters Funeral Home in Shafter, CA at 9:00am followed by a graveside service at Shafter Cemetery at 11:00am on December 5, 2025.
