It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Michael Earl Krom, 75, of Angleton, Texas, who passed away on August 2, 2025, with his loved ones at his side. Michael (Mike) was born in Philipsburg, Pennsylvania, to Clarence and Helen (Long) Krom. He grew up in Madera, Pennsylvania, and attended Moshannon Valley Schools, graduating in 1967. Michael earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University in 1971. He worked for Westinghouse (Siemens) Gas Turbine Division for 45 years. He met the love of his life, Eileene Mahlon, on a blind date. They were married on May 19, 1973, and enjoyed 52 years of marriage. Through their union, they were blessed with two sons, Jason and Bradley. Some of Michael's greatest joy came from simply being a dad and coaching his sons in Little League baseball and soccer. Michael was known as "Mr. Wrench Turner" during the years Brad was involved in motocross racing. He loved being the mechanic as much as Brad loved riding. He was an avid Angleton Wildcat fan and enjoyed tinkering with cars-especially anything from Ford. He will be remembered for his kind and gentle nature, his infectious laugh, and the countless things he did for family and friends. He was a friend to many and never met a stranger. Michael is survived by his wife, Eileene Krom; his son, Bradley Krom (Denise); his daughter-in-law, Paula Krom; grandchildren, Cheyenne Applegate (Drew Psencik) and Jayden Krom; great-granddaughter, Seleen Psencik-all of Angleton, Texas; and his brother, Mark Krom (Linda), of York, Pennsylvania. He is preceded in death by his beloved son, Jason Krom, and his parents, Clarence and Helen Krom.
