Michael John Kuczinski

Michael John Kuczinski, 48, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC.

Born on July 16, 1977, in Hagerstown, Michael was the son of the late Steve Hull and Linda C. (Shipley) Lafferty, and the stepson of Michael Lafferty. He was also preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Dawn Hoskins.

Michael dedicated 26 years of service to Maryland Paper in Williamsport, Md., where he was the Assistant Shipping and Receiving Manager. He was an avid fan of the Baltimore Ravens and Baltimore Orioles and enjoyed working with automobiles. Michael enjoyed bowling and had a perfect game to his credit, as well as being an ardent fisherman. He was kind and treasured his friends and family. Michael was known for his generous spirit, always willing to lend a hand to friends in need, and his infectious laughter brightened every gathering.

He is survived by his two brothers: Daniel R. Kuczinski and his wife Julia, and David A. Hoskins; nephews Tyler, Matthew, and Jonathan Kuczinski; niece Leah Hoskins; aunt Carolyn and cousins Bryan, Sean and Jason Keesecker.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5:00–8:00 P.M.
