Michael Wayne Lee

Michael Wayne Lee, 76, born June 15, 1949, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.
The son of Omer and Norma Lee, Mike grew up in Sadieville, Kentucky, where he spent most of his life on his family farm, raising cattle and tobacco. At 18, he was drafted into the United States Army and served in Vietnam, an experience that shaped his strength, humility and deep appreciation for home. After returning to Sadieville, Mike met the love of his life, Donna, while she was working at Dairy Queen. They built a devoted life together, married 49 years, and raised two sons, Shawn and Chris, whom he loved beyond measure.
In 1971, Mike began his career at Whayne Supply Company, where he worked with dedication for more than four decades, retiring in 2015. During those years, he formed many lifelong friendships and earned the respect of all who worked beside him.
Mike was known for his selflessness, patience and integrity. Above all, he loved his family dearly. He was a proud Poppie to four grandchildren- Ryan, Ava, Patrick and Hayden, who brought him immense joy. A lifelong Corvette enthusiast, Mike owned and enjoyed many over the years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Donna; his sons Shawn (Melinda) and Chris (Holly); his grandchildren- Ryan, Ava, Patrick, and Hayden Lee, as well as his brother, Mark Lee. He is preceded in death by his parents, Omer and Norma Lee.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., with the Funeral service beginning at Noon at Tucker Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home. Bro. Buddy Puckett and Bro. Benny Robins will be officiating. Mike will be laid to rest at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown, Kentucky. Military Honors will be presented at both services.
