Michael Wayne Lough, 58, passed away on November 29, 2025, at Rosewood Center in Grafton, WV. He was born on November 3, 1967, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Margaret Ann Wiant (Lough).

He spent many years roofing under the Florida sun and later working in construction in the hills of West Virginia. Michael felt most at home outdoors. Whether casting a line into still water or simply breathing in the fresh air, nature was where he found peace and where he felt most himself.

Michael's greatest joy was his family. He was a funny, outgoing person, and there was never a dull moment with him around.

Cherishing Michael's memory are his daughters, Brittany Leigh Lough and Autumn Nicole Garcia (Christian), both of Avon Park, Fl.; his two granddaughters, Aubree and Laylah; and his six grandsons, Jay'len, Jamari, Silvestre, Kato, Christian, and Emiliano, all of Avon Park, FL. Also remembering him are his stepson, Andrew Wiant of WV; his adopted sister, Alexis Wiant of WV; his uncle, Donald Lough of Jane Lew, WV; his aunt, Anna Lough of Buckhannon, WV; two nephews, Austin Michael Williams of Florida and Dustin Moore of Buckhannon, WV; and his niece, Stevie Simons of Buckhannon, WV; and several cousins.

He is now reunited with his mother, Margaret Ann Wiant (Lough), and only brother, Larry Dean "Feller" Lough, whose memories he always held close. He is also preceded in death by his grandparents, Dana Lough and Laura (Pearson) Lough, and five uncles, Duane, Gordon, Monte, Travis, and Terry Lough.

Michael will be remembered for his laughter, his love of nature, and the joy he brought to those around him.

"His journey continues now on quieter shores, where the breeze is warm, the water is calm, and every cast line is a whisper of home."
