Michael Luther Obituary
Michael was the son of Geary and Jean Luther, both of whom preceded him in death. He grew up in the scenic hills of Ligonier, Pennsylvania, where he developed a deep appreciation for nature that would remain with him throughout his life. His love for the outdoors was evident in his many hobbies. He found joy in hunting, mushroom hunting, hiking in the woods, and bird watching.
A dedicated outdoorsman, Mike was a lifelong member of the Old Colony Sportsman Club in Ligonier, Pennsylvania.
Mike leaves behind his sons Michael Luther (Rachel) and Greg Luther; daughters Carly Hernley (Donny) and Casey Luther; and his brother Gary Luther. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Alex Luther, Amanda Hernley, Abby Luther, Annie Hernley, Ben Nordby, Avery Luther, Katie Nordby, and Brady Nordby- who will carry forward his memory.
Mike's life was one rooted in a profound respect for nature. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and serve as a reminder of the quiet strength found in a life well lived among the woods and wild places he loved so dearly.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to either The Nature Conservancy at Donate Now to Protect Nature, The Nature Conservancy or World Wildlife Fund at Make a Donation in Honor of Someone, World Wildlife Fund.
