Nancy Johnson Obituary

She was a diligent worker, and always ready to learn something new. While working at B.F. Goodrich chemical plant in Orange, Texas, when they got their big computers, she went to Lamar University to learn computer languages and became the head of that department. In her off time, she loved to cook and paint. She created beautiful large canvas oil paintings. Nancy Tinsley Khoury Johnson moved to Buxton NC in 2005 after Hurricane Rita destroyed her home in Orange, Texas.
Nancy is preceded in death by sisters Charlie Mae Cray and Jackie Erlandson and one brother Buddy Tinsley.
Nancy is survived by her five children: Donna Khoury Bennett (Brent), Joseph Khoury (Cindy), Isaac Khoury (Theresa), Christy Khoury Roccaforte (Kirk), and Mitch Khoury. She leaves behind twelve grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
A memorial service for Nancy will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Lighthouse Assembly of God, Buxton, NC 27920 at 5:00 pm.
