Michael Mace

Michael Mace Sr. 73, passed away in St. Joseph, Mo. He was the 2nd child born to Charles and Wanda (Dangerfield) Mace in Charleston, WV on March 29, 1950. His father was in the Navy, so the family lived many places in his childhood. Mike lived in Kansas for many years, he married Cheryl Woehr in 1972 in Topeka, Kansas. They had a daughter Michelle Sharee. They later divorced. Michael then married Myra Richard in 1982. They had a son Michael Mace Jr. They later divorced. Mike had a strong work ethic. He worked at Payless Shoe Distribution Center until they closed the Topeka plant. He moved to St.Joseph and worked at Sara Lee until his retirement. He then enjoyed his retirement marshalling and playing golf at the Duncan Hills Golf Course in Savannah Mo. Mike was an avid sports fan and loved to play golf with his son and grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Ginger Mace. Survivors include daughter Michelle (David) Maguire, Saint Joseph, Mo, son Michael (Tori) Mace Jr., Horton, KS, grandchildren; Taylor Moman, Peyton, Ellie, and Ava Maguire, Mailey and Macklin Mace.
