MICHAEL DEE MAHLSTEDE, born on October 8, 1951, in Lynwood, California, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025, in Downey, California. He was a respected residential painter who dedicated over 45 years to his craft, bringing color and life to numerous homes and businesses throughout the community.
Michael's talents extended beyond his professional life; he was known for his creativity and attention to detail, traits that he infused into both his work and his personal relationships. His warm-hearted nature and generous spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He is survived by his beloved brother, Lee "Steve" Mahlstede (Reta) of Kaysville, UT, and his sister-in-law, Billie Mahlstede of Downey. In addition, Michael cherished his numerous nieces and nephews, each holding a special place in his heart.
Michael is predeceased by his brother, Jack Mahlstede. His memory will live on through the stories shared by his family and friends, as they reflect on a life well-lived, marked by devotion to his craft and love for those who mattered most to him.
