Michael Mallick

Michael F. Mallick, 78, of Winsted, CT, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at St. Mary’s Hospital.

Born on December 4, 1946, in Hartford, CT, he was the son of the late Francis and Geraldine (Comeau) Mallick.

Mike grew up in Collinsville, CT, spent many years in Torrington, and lived in Winsted during his later years.

Before finding his calling on the golf course, Mike spent much of his early career in the grocery store industry. He was known for his strong work ethic and dedication—qualities that later served him well as a groundskeeper. He took great pride in his work at the Golf Club of Avon and previously held similar roles at Torrington Country Club and Stonybrook Golf Course. Through those years, he developed a lifelong passion for the game of golf.

Mike also had a deep love for animals, especially his beloved cat, Snickers, and the many pets his children introduced into his life over the years.

He is survived by his two sons, Andrew Mallick and his companion, Rachel Mandelbaum, of Jackson, NJ, and Michael Mallick, Jr. of Vancouver, WA; his two daughters, Emily Mallick and her husband, Christopher Perry, of Millbury, MA, and Tracey Searle and her husband John Searle, of San Carlos, California; as well as two grandchildren, Sawyer and Michael Mallick.
