Norman Anthony Dallis

Norman Anthony Dallis, 86, of Mesquite, NV passed away peacefully at home on January 16, 2026.

Norman was born April 8, 1939 in Winsted, Ct to loving parents Anthony Dallis and Florence English. He grew up in Connecticut and graduated from The Gilbert School in Winchester, CT class of 1957.

A proud US Army Veteran he served in bases both in the United States and in Germany. He worked many years in retail-appliances and other various jobs such as a driving instructor for Taggerts Driving School, Car 54.

In his early days he married Ellen Olszanski with whom he raised his 3 children, who were his pride and joy.

Later in life he met Loretta Liebowitz with whom he had many adventures and enjoyed life. With Loretta he lived in Phoenix, Las Vegas, St. George and finally settling in Mesquite, NV in 2015. They loved each other dearly and spent 40 wonderful years together.

Norman was an avid sports fan taking every opportunity to cheer on his New York Yankees and Dallas Cowboys, making sure to specify to all those around that those were his Cowboys they just got the spelling wrong. He loved weekends spent with family watching Nascar and Stock car racing.

Not only did he enjoy watching sports he loved participating in sports, he participated in Softball teams all over the country in states including CT, MA, AZ, NV & UT playing well into his 70s.

Norman is survived by Loretta Liebowitz Dallis, his long time sweetheart. His son, Joseph Dallis of CT, and Daughter and (Son in Law) Jeanne (Dave) Bradley of CT. Grandsons Daniel (Amanda) of MA, Granddaughter Valerie of FL. Great-grandsons James and Miles. Brother, Peter (Kathy) Mori of MD, Many Cousins, Nieces and nephews and friends from the softball field.

Norman is Preceded in death by his parents and his son John Dallis.

Services will be held at a later date in CT.
