Michael Dean Mann

Mr. Michael "Mike" Dean Mann, (64), of Talcott, WV, died unexpectedly on Friday, December 22, 2023.
Born September 21, 1959, in Talcott, Mike was the seventh child of Joyce E. Mann and the late Robert L. Mann. Mike was a 1978 graduate of Talcott High School. During high school and for many years after, Mike was an active member of The National Guard.
While Mike spent his early years as a truck driver, a construction worker and member of the United Steel Workers Union, in the latter years of his life Mike enjoyed being a "gentleman" farmer. Mike was an avid race car fan and loved spending time tinkering with and driving around in his classic Monte Carlos. In his down time, Mike could be found in front of his television watching a good ole "Western" and "Street Outlaws".
Besides his father, Mike was preceded in death by a sister, Judith "Judy" Martin.
Those left to cherish his memory are his life partner and wife of forty-two years, Amy L. Mann and a son, Michael "Ferrell" Mann of Forest Hill, WV. Mike was also survived by five older siblings: Robert E. Mann of Covington, VA; Linda J. Huffman of Talcott; Shelby J. Morris of Talcott; Vicky S. Armendariz of Hilldale, WV; and Jerry S. Mann of Hilldale; as well as, five younger siblings: Larry A. Mann of Talcott; Jon F. (Tonya) Mann of Winston Salem, NC; Tracey A. Moran of Atlanta, GA; Teresa A. Mann of Atlanta; and Lisa D. (Von) Woodson of Pittsburgh, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held for family and friends to gather to remember the life of Mike on Saturday, December 30, 2023, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the McCreery Conference Center, located at 320 2nd Avenue, Hinton, WV.
