Michael Albert Martin

Michael A. Martin was born July 12, 1956 to Elenore and Charles Martin. The youngest of three children, he grew up in Tappan, NY with his older sisters, Judy and Donna. After working as a carpenter and home builder for several years he met his wife Carol on a blind date in the summer of 1980. The Match was a good one, and on October 17, 1981 they were Wed. Mike continued on his work as a carpenter while raising his two children Linda and Robert. Mike was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed being active. If he wasn't working or with family he was hunting, fishing, or walking with his wife. Mike also enjoyed riding motorcycles and enjoyed competing in and attending races. Mike believed in living life the way he wanted and ultimately found his peace in the quiet of the woods, doing what he loved. Mike is survived by his wife Carol, his daughter Linda and her husband Ken, his son Robert and his Wife Heather, and two grand children Gunnar and Colbie.
A visitation for Michael will be held on Thursday evening, November 20th, from 4pm to 7pm at Applebee-McPhillips funeral home, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940
A funeral service will be offered on Friday, November 21 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Wallkill Cemetery, Midway Rd Middletown, NY.
