Michael Mattero

Michael Mattero, 93, peacefully passed away at home on February 23, 2021. Mike was born November 23, 1927 on the island of Ischia in Italy and immigrated to the United States in the early 1950's. He owned and operated the Keystone Café in Chester for about 15 years. He later worked for Septa as a rail laborer for 20 years until he retired in 1992. He also enjoyed gardening and landscaping.
Mike is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years Pia Mattero (nee Masci); his loving daughter Rita (Richard) Zajko; and his granddaughter Michelle Zajko.
