Michael Wayne Mauldin, Sr. 74, of Concord, NC went to his heavenly home on Thursday, May 27, 2021. Mike was born September 13, 1946 in Concord, NC to the late Ruby Harris Mauldin.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Deborah Hendrix Mauldin of Concord, NC; son, Michael Mauldin, Jr. and his son Mason; daughter, Jennifer Mauldin and boyfriend Philip Alexander,and her daughter Shyann Brafford; daughter, Amy Bolton and husband Kenny, and their daughter Kendall; daughter, Susan Pruitt and husband Roy, and their children Brittany, Brandon, Tabitha and RJ, and their families; six great grandchildren; and his beloved "Momma" cat.
Mike was an avid golfer and loved the mountains, especially Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. He was a huge Elvis fan, and attended Memories Theater in Pigeon Forge frequently. Mike was a manager in the Carolina Championship Wrestling (CCW) where he would come out as an Elvis impersonator for the late wrestler "Wild Thing" Willie Clay. Most of all he was a firm believer in God, and he loved his family dearly. Mike will be missed by all those who knew him and loved him.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord, 460 Branchview Drive, Concord, NC. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, June 2nd at 3:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. William Claytor. Burial will follow at the Oakwood Cemetery at 471 Church Street in Concord.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in honor of Mike's mom to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Ln., Kannapolis, NC 28081; or The Muscular Dystrophy Association in honor of his grandson.
