Michael McClain Obituary

On July 15, 1967 Mac was united in marriage to Geneva Miller in Great Falls. They raised two sons, Scott and Rob. Mac worked for Hawk Electric, UBC, and Edgewood Building Supply; retiring from Edgewood in 2015.
Besides being a husband and father, he was an artist, a hotrod guy, golfer, hunter and accurate shot. He made breakfast on Sundays and grilled a mean burger. He was a hell of a poker player and looked forward to Thursday night games with the boys.
Mac was a member of the Optimists, Elks, NSRA, Goodguys, IPSC Shooting, and Trail Duster Car Club. Some of his favorite memories were; my 40 Ford cruising with my honey, Seeley Lake with Renman, being married to my best friend for 55 years, IPSC Shooting and all the great friendships along the way. His favorite saying, "Perfect is good enough!"
Mac is survived by his wife, Geneva; sons, Scott (Kelly) and Rob (fiancé Susan); grandchildren, Nathan (Whittney) Flink, Ryan McClain, and Chloe McClain; siblings, Mary (Maritza) McClain ans Susane McClain. He is preceded in death by his parents.
No services are planned; cremation has taken place. Memorial donations can be made in Mac's honor to Hospice of Central Montana.

Mike and I met in 1961 when we both lived at Malmstrom
AFB in Great Falls. We were teammates in Football, Basketball and Track. He was a great friend and I am sorry we did not stay up with each other through the years. I left Great Falls after 9th grade in 1963. The last time I saw him was in 1971 when my wife and I visited Mike and Geneva on our way back to Spokane from Colorado. My thoughts and prayers go out to Geneva & Family.

Mac was a good man. I will miss seeing him cruising around in the 40. It fit him so well. I will miss that laugh. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
