Michael McKenna Obituary

Born and raised in Framingham, he moved to Sagamore Beach where he picked up a hammer and started building houses. He raised his family by the beaches of Sagamore until he headed south to Florida, to enjoy his later days in the sunshine. He was a fierce protector, loved his family and his "Never Give Up" motto was contagious.
He was the husband of Linda Zarella, who was by his side; and the late Maureen (Barry) McKenna.
He was the son of the late Leo and Doris McKenna. Father of Katelyn, Kara, Michael Jr. (Spike) and Justin; Papa to Kali, Drew, Kaianne, Leo and Geoffrey; brother of Doreen McKenna, Mary McKenna, Linda McKenna and Joseph McKenna; the late Kathleen Guerrini, Timothy McKenna and Leo McKenna; and uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held in the Spring.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Michael to Avow Hospice, 1095 Whippoorwill Lane, Naples, FL 34105 (avowcares.org).

Dear Linda and Michael´s extended family,
I have only just learned of Michael´s passing and am tremendously saddened by the loss of such a wonderful and talented young man whom my late husband, Dante, and I met as a teenager. We encouraged him with his early home building days and loved him dearly. I will forever cling to the memories made so many years ago, and send my deepest sympathy to all his family.

I have so many memories of Michael .
When I was young spending overnights at their house and wishing he was not my cousin because with his beach boy looks and beautiful smile I wanted him to be my boyfriend !
Later on when we rented the sagamore cottage with my children, having play dates with Spike and the girls and Maureen .
Then offering his time and advice that it was time yo sell the cottage , he was very appreciative of my help cleaning it up
To put it on the market.
He also offered his help when I was making funeral arrangements for auntie Joyce .
He has given my daughter professional advice on properties that she was considering purchasing on the cape .
He was truly one of the most kind sincere people that I have ever met always with a beautiful smile on his face
I know that he will be missed by all of his family, but being welcomed with open arms by family members who have passed before him . Rest in peace Michael
