Michael McKenzie Obituary
AUGUSTA — Michael A. McKenzie, 76, died Monday, March 23, 2026, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Ky. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on Oct. 9, 1949, to the late Rendal and Geneva Glasscock McKenzie. He was retired from Carmeuse Lime.
He is survived by his sons, Rob Shields and Kaegan Shields; his grandchildren, Robbie A. Shields and Shana Shields; and his great-grandchildren, Lamar Stevens and Omar Stevens.
He is also survived by his brothers, Kenneth McKenzie and Randy (Angie) McKenzie.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Sarah Strode McKenzie, his son, Rodney Shields, and his sister Nina Myers.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Moore and Parker Funeral Home in Augusta.
Visitation will be 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Bracken Co. Cancer Support.
