Born in St Paul, Mn. Lived in Farmington; MN from birth until 2003 when his parents moved to Menomonie, WI. Michael attended the Durand, WI School District where he graduated high school in 2012. He then went into the Navy nuclear program from 2013 -2019. He went to 3 years of schooling at the LA Film School. He was currently working as a maintenance man at the apartment complex where he lived.
Survived by his parents Kevin and Betty (Saas) McLaughlin, sister Katie Smith (Kurt Koenig) sister Becky Freeman (Josh), brother Kevin McLaughlin II (Stephanie). 5 nieces and nephews Ruby, Caleb, Marcus, Oliver and Henry. Lots of aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Raymond and Teresa (Nemec) McLaughlin, Lloyd and Florence (Smith) Saas. Aunt Debbie (Saas) Shirley, uncles Ray McLaughlin, Larry McLaughlin, Robert Saas and Donald Saas.
Memorial Service will be held 11 am Thursday January 15, 2026 at the White Funeral Home, 901 3rd St. Farmington with a gathering of family and friends starting at 10 am. A luncheon to follow at Celts Restaurant in Farmington. Interment, Fort Snelling National Cemetery, at a later date.
