A life lived with love, is a life lived.
Michael Patrick McQuain was born to Terry and Chris McQuain in Minot, North Dakota. He and his sister were born in Minot two years later. They were military dependents growing up, with seven U.S. moves and two overseas moves to England and Germany.
From the very beginning Mike never met a stranger; much to the concern of his mom, dad, and grandparents. One of his primary goals in life was to meet people, find out about them, and enter their lives. His smile, sense of humor, and dimples were his tickets to much joy and good fortune.
Mike graduated from AFCENT International High School, Brunssum the Netherlands, and then Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Colorado. Over his information technology years between Digital Island - Hacker Prevention Specialist and fixing Home Away network problems lying on his parents' couch, he found the fulfilment of a professional lifetime and a cohort of many comrades that he respected and valued beyond measure.
Mike is greatly missed and survived by the love of his life Samantha Abigail Digo McQuain, whom he pursued for nine years and married on Valentine's Day 2014, and their two sons Matthew Jacob and Mason Grey. He is survived by his father Terry; his sister/best friend Katie Williams; her husband Rusty; his nephew Christopher Williams; his mother-in-law Luz (Nanay); his father-in-law Lito; and his sister-in-law Mars and Arthur Wilson, II; and his sister-in-law Allie (Samantha's twin sister).

Michael was one of my best friends. Since living in Vegas when he and his son Dillon would swim in my pool and then to Austin Michael and I stayed in close contact. Anytime either of us had a major life decision we talked and bounced ideas. He was always there for me and made me smile. I will miss him greatly. ~Nick
