Diane Woolston Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Beck Funeral Home in Austin/Round Rock on Feb. 11, 2026.
Diane Woolston (Henderson) age 67, of Austin, Texas, passed into the twilight on Sunday, February 8th surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in Marshall, Texas to Leon and Andrea Henderson (nee Meisenheimer), Diane always held tightly to her East Texas roots wherever life took her. As the oldest of three children, she shared a close and lasting bond with her mother Andrea, grandmother Evanell and her brothers, Mark and Eric, her aunt Evie, and with uncles Ralph and Westy who felt more like brothers. Those relationships, along with the memories of her early years growing up in East Texas, remained deeply meaningful to her throughout her life. Diane was very prideful of being a native Texan and wore that honor proudly.

In 1976, Diane moved to Joplin, Missouri, where she later met the love of her life, Gary. Though life briefly took her out of Texas, her heart never left it, and she was eager to return home.

Alex and Anna were the joy that grandchildren bring to Gary's parents Dale and Mary Woolston, especially during the holidays.

In 1998, Diane and her family relocated to Austin, where she continued to build a life centered on love, family, and generosity.

Diane was joyous, loving, and generous, and she gave endlessly of herself. She was a devoted and wonderful mother who did everything for her family, always putting their needs before her own. Recently, Diane became a grandmother, a role that brought her immense pride, happiness, and filled her with deep joy. She also loved to read which became another great passion in her later years.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Gary; her son, Alex, his wife Juliana, and their son Whit; and her daughter, Anna Pearl. She is also lovingly remembered by her brother Mark and his daughter Sarah, and by her brother Eric and his sons Cole and Jake, and her extended family in East Texas.

Diane will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her, and she will be forever home in her beloved Texas.

Private services will be held.
