Michael John Medler, 78, of Cicero, passed away June 19, 2025. Michael was born in Watertown, New York on September 10, 1946.
He served in the Marine Reserves in the 1960's. He then married and had two daughters. He was a successful businessman in Syracuse, NY for many years. He loved his Rottweilers and cats, and also had a passion for fast cars, boats, and antiques. Michael built his house on Oneida Lake from the ground up. He bravely fought various illnesses over the years and fought until the end. He was the oldest sibling and took care of everyone including his parents. He will be missed by all.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Melissa Medler; mother, Alice Gillin; father, James Medler Jr; and his brother, James.
He is survived by his daughter, Molly (Robert Jr.) Lane; granddaughters, Cierra, Dakota, and Melinda Lane; six sisters, Patricia Metz, Mary Bogart, Alice Ly, Kelly Medler VanDusen, Wendy Mazzoli, Therese Teachout; a brother, Allen Medler; and several nieces, and nephews, and lots of friends!
Calling hours are Friday, June 27, 2025 from 4:00 pm-7:00 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals - North Syracuse, 705 N. Main St, Syracuse, with a service to follow.
