Mr. Michael William Megargle of Matamoras, PA died Sunday, January 15, 2023 at Castle Point V.A. Hospital in Wappingers Falls, NY. He was 75.
He was born January 2, 1948 in Stroudsburg, PA the son of the late Milo Megargle and the late Eleanor Sienkiewicz Megargle.
Michael married Jean M. Mack 19 years ago on July 11, 2003 in Milford, PA.
He worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for R&R Construction in Chester, NJ.
Michael proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam.
He was a member of American Legion Post # 922 in Cresco, PA and the Knights of Columbus in Milford, PA.
Michael was an avid hunter with his best friend Lamar in Canadensis.
Surviving are:
His wife, Jean Megargle at home.
His daughters: Michelle Megargle and her husband John of South Sterling, PA; Shannon Price and her husband Carl of Canadensis, PA; Tamara Ziegler and her husband William of Pinehurst, NC and Lynnette Megargle of Canadensis, PA.
His step daughter, Lisa Gordon of Crandon Lakes, NJ.
His brother, Timothy Megargle and his wife Lynnsay of Trenton, NJ
His former wife and mother of his children, Teresa Megargle of Canadensis, PA.
His 6 beloved grandchildren: Adrieana, Michael, Levi, Emmit, Indy & Dylan
His beloved great grandson, Brooks.
Also several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the GRAY-PARKER FUNERAL HOME, INC. 100 East Main Street Port Jervis on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph's R.C. Church, 307 Ave. F., Matamoras, PA with Rev. Michael Manarchuck officiating.
Burial with Military Honors will be at Laurelwood Cemetery, Stroudsburg, PA.
Memorial contributions may be made to any type of Veteran Organization or to any type of Agent Orange Research of the Donor's Choice.
