Michael Lloyd Meshell

Michael Lloyd Meshell, 66, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2025, at his residence.

He was born June 2, 1959 in Abbeville, Louisiana, to the late William and Eve Meshell.

Michael was a former employee of Rauch Industries, where he spent 18 years. He then went to work for Atkinson International for 9 years. If he wasn't working, he was at home working around the house. He loved to sing and play the guitar. He especially loved spending time with his family whom he cherished.

In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his grandmother, Beulah Dubon; brother, William H. Meshell Jr.; grandchildren, Matthew & Spencer McCurry.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 35 years, Lori Meshell; sons, Michael Meshell (Stephanie), David Smith, Michael Smith, Robert Morris; daughter, Suzette McCurry (Kyle); brothers, John T'all Breaux, Russell Boutte (Dayna); sisters, Mary Meshell Bourque, Jean Meshell Dominque; sister in laws, Kathy Hurt, Deborah Taylor; brother in laws, Ricky Taylor, Jackie Taylor; special aunt, Glenda Cormier; grandchildren, Destiny Cable (Chase), Bryson Smith, Layton Jones, Aleaha Smith, Skylar Smith, Laney Smith, Aayden Smith, Avaya Shaner Smith, Asher Smith, Aaron Smith, Aspen Whaley, Hunter Whaley, Michael Meshell (Lil Lil), Josh Lowe, Kayleb Lowe, Gracie Meshell, Nevaeh Meshell; great-granddaughter, Alizabeth Cable; three special friends, Jerry Mathis, Todd Weast, Tim Stevens; many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
