It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael "Mike" John Farrell, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Michael, who was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and later resided in Milford, Ohio, departed this life on March 5, 2026, at the age of 79, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's. Mike dedicated many years to his passion for construction as the owner of Farrell Construction. He built not only homes but also lasting relationships within the community, known for his generous spirit and willingness to help others. Friends often remarked that Michael was the kind of person who would give his shirt off his back to anyone in need. Mike's life was enriched by his family, who surrounded him with love. He is survived by his devoted wife, Janis Farrell; son Sean (Stephanie) Farrell; daughter Colleen Farrell; and his cherished grandchildren, Evan, Seth, and Piper Farrell. He shared a special bond with his sister, Kate Stewart, who will forever hold his memory close to her heart. Michael was preceded in death by his parents John & Virginia Farrell. A man of great passions, Michael loved the outdoors. He was often found mountain biking, hiking, or enjoying activities on the lake. These activities brought him joy, a reflection of his adventurous spirit and love for nature, which he eagerly shared with his family. Mike and Janis have attended St. Andrew Catholic Church, where he found solace and community. In his honor, his family will be holding a memorial mass on Friday, March 13, 2026 at 10:00AM at the church, that will reflect the love and joy he brought to all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to Queen City Hospice, a testament to Michael's caring heart and his wish to help others even in his passing. Michael John Farrell will be missed profoundly, but his spirit will remain alive in the hearts and memories of those he touched. We invite all who knew him to continue sharing stories of his kindness and generosity, ensuring that his legacy endures for generations to come.
