Michael Robinson “Mike,” 68, of Chugiak, Alaska, passed away on Saturday, January 27th, 2024, at home. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Mike lived a full and rich life, filled with love, laughter, and countless memories.
He was born on July 29th, 1955, in Morehead City, North Carolina, where he developed a lifelong passion for fishing and food, especially seafood. Upon graduating from West Carteret High School, he proudly served in the US Air Force. His first duty station was in Alaska but would later move around the country to different duty stations. Decades later, having never forgotten the beauty of Alaska, he would return with his wife and children, making it their forever home. He would visit his Crystal Coast family and friends as often as he could.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, six biological and four adopted children, sons and daughters-in-law, fourteen grandchildren, two siblings, and nieces and nephews.
Mike will be remembered for his kind heart, welcoming smile, and unwavering dedication to his family and faith. He was proud of the family he created. He was a true pillar of strength and support to everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him; to know him was to love him. He saw beauty in everything around him, took nothing for granted, and appreciated everything. He was a true inspiration.
The Celebration of Life Service for Mike will be live-streamed and recorded on February 10th at 10:00 a.m. (Alaska Standard Time) / 2:00 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time) at Bridge of Hope in Chugiak, Alaska.
