Michael "Mike" David Turner, age 57, of Clinton, husband of Allison Howell Turner, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his wife, which was the way he wanted. The way he died is just as he lived; he wrote his own rules, fought for his freedom and ours, and paved his own way.
Born on April 28, 1968, in Scottsburg, Indiana, Mike was the son of the late Ronald D. Turner and Brenda Clemmons Turner. He proudly served in the U.S. Army, courageously completing four tours of military duty overseas. His service and sacrifice embodied his commitment to his country, community, and the values he always carried. Mike commanded a unit and was a father, advisor, confessor, and judge for many soldiers.
A passionate motorcycle enthusiast, Mike loved meeting wonderful people, making lasting memories, raising money, and participating in toy runs to ensure that children in his community could have a good Christmas.
Michael had a great love for his wife, whom he adored and cherished. They shared a lifetime in the seventeen years they were together. Together, they raised two beautiful daughters, and having two awesome grandchildren was the highlight of Mike's life.
In addition to his wife, Mike is survived by his daughters, Julia McLendon Guest (Chrishawn) and Georgianna McLendon, as well as his grandchildren, Paisleigh and Layton Guest.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Clinton. Burial with Full Military Honors will follow at Rosemont Cemetery. The family will greet visitors prior to the service from 2:00-3:00 PM at the funeral home.
