David Medlin, age 58, of Clinton, passed away, Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at Prisma Health-Laurens County Hospital.
He was born August 30, 1967 in Fountain Inn, SC, and was the son of Reynolds and Shirley Kennedy Medlin. David was formerly employed with Asplundh Tree Expert Company, Palmetto Spinning, and Inman Mills. He was a member of Bellview Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, David is survived by his son, David Alexander “Alex” Medlin of Clinton; his stepdaughter, Skye Gilliam of Clinton; his siblings, Ricky Medlin and Lisa Rogers, both of Clinton; and many special nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Dustin Rogers.
The family wishes to give special thanks to Shannon and Parris of Amedisys Hospice and the entire ICU staff at Prisma Health Laurens County Hospital for all their care and compassion.
Funeral Services will be held, Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 11 AM at Bellview Baptist Church with Rev. Darren Rood and Mr. Curtis Crowe officiating. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery.
The family will greet visitors prior to the service from 10-11 AM at the Church and will be at the home of his sister, 103 Sally Drive, Clinton, SC 29325.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bellview Baptist Church, 757 Bellview Church Road, Laurens, SC 29360.
