Firstly, my condolences and thoughts to Sybil and the entire family.
Riding with Michael to and from work as we did for a number of years, from the Eastside to the office of PLAN International in East Greenwich, is my deepest and lasting memory. We chatted, talked seriously, argued and, mostly, listened to music: classical, jazz, blues and Mike had me even listen to hip-hop!!! What a way to start a day´s work or wind down after a day´s work.
Michael, you will be missed,
Herman

Driving with Mike to and from work at PLAN International in East Greenwich. Mike was so kind as to pick me up and drop me off.
We just chatted, had serious conversations or, mostly, listened to music: classical, jazz, pop and Mike even made me listen to hip- hop!!!
What a way to get ready for a day´s work or to decompress after one.
Mike, you will be missed.
Sybil and children, my thoughts are with you.

My partner and I met Mike and Sybill on a memorable sunset afternoon at the rocks at Bakoven, Cape Town. He was all music and freedom. He will make a good ghost.

Richard, so sorry about your loss. Reading his bio made me think about your family's amazing story and journey to get to the US. It's the classic American immigrant story. His great legacy will endure through his children and grandchildren. May he rest in peace.

I've known Mike only during my 8 years as a fellow resident at North Hill, Needham. In my mind he was distinguished by his always cheerful manner, often a twinkle in his eye, and ever interested in whatever I was doing. We will miss him. Rest in Peace, Mike. Your friend, Peter
