Michael was a man defined by strength, honor, and unwavering loyalty. He lived his life with the same courage and commitment that he carried while serving his country in the United States Army. His legacy is one of laughter, loyalty, and love; a legacy that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Michael was born on February 28, 1969, in Houston TX and passed away on March 9, 2026.
He proudly served in the United States Army beginning 01/11/2007 and was honorably discharged as Army Sgt E5 on 08/17/2011. During his time in the military, Michael served with dedication and pride, standing shoulder to shoulder with his fellow soldiers and embodying the values of duty, sacrifice, and brotherhood. Michael earned the Army commendation medal//Army good conduct medal//National defense service medal//Global war on terrorism service medal//Iraq campaign medal w/ campaign star//Army driver and mechanic badge. The bonds he formed and the loyalty he lived by during those years remained a guiding force throughout the rest of his life.
Outside of his time in uniform, Michael carried that same spirit of brotherhood into every part of his life. He found another family on the open road as a member of his motorcycle clubs, where he proudly earned the road name "Spyder." Riding was more than a passion it was a way of life, built on loyalty, freedom, and the deep connections he shared with his fellow riders.
To know Spyder was to know joy. He was the life of every gathering and truly never met a stranger. Whether it was a backyard barbecue, a ride with his brothers, or a chance conversation in a bar with someone he had just met, Michael had a rare gift for making people feel welcome, seen, and part of the moment. His laughter was contagious, and his presence could turn an ordinary day into a memory worth holding onto.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sara Mladenka; his children Skylar, Zetta, Shooter and Faith, bonus kids Jordan Palermo and Ryan Terry; his brother, Martin Mladenka; mother Edna Mladenka; Father in law Vin Kurelaitis; close cousins Brad Mladenka, Brian Mladenka, Patrick Mladenka Jr; uncle Robert Mladenka; sister in law Amy Palermo; brother in law Michael Malone; lifelong friends Chris Dodrill and John Muckelrath and numerous other family members and friends who loved him deeply. His family was the center of his world, and he carried immense pride in them.
He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Mladenka, and many brothers he held close within the motorcycle community including, but not limited to: Jack Davis, John Travis Winn and Ron Creech.
Michael will be remembered for his big heart, his fearless spirit, and the way he lived life wide open and full throttle. He was a soldier, a rider, a friend, and a brother to many.
Though he left us far too soon, his memory will forever ride beside those who loved him.
Ride free, Spyder. Your watch is over, but your legacy lives on in every mile we ride, every glass we raise, and every story we tell.
