Debra LaVerne Clark, 71, passed away on March 9, 2026. She was born on November 16, 1954, in Alice, Texas.

Debra spent her childhood attending grade school in Harlingen and Del Rio before moving to San Antonio, where she attended MacArthur High School and proudly graduated with the Class of 1971. During her school years she was a member of the drill team, a role that reflected her spirited personality and love of being involved.

On March 11, 1974, Debra married the love of her life, Timothy J. Clark. Together they built a life centered around family, laughter, and making memories with those they loved. One of the memories her children cherish most was watching their parents dance around the house to some of their favorite songs, laughing and enjoying each other's company, simple moments that created lasting memories for their family.

Debra enjoyed many hobbies and pastimes that brought joy to both her and those around her. She loved camping, fishing, cooking, sewing, and crafting. She had a special appreciation for Mexican food and margaritas and could often be found enjoying her favorite television shows, Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune. She also enjoyed watching football, especially when the Texans or Saints were playing. Debra loved going on cruises and trying her luck gambling, and her favorite color was tie-dye, fitting for someone whose personality was as vibrant as the colors she loved.

Above all else, Debra adored being around children. The younger they were, the more joy they brought her, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Debra was known for being sharp as a tack and incredibly knowledgeable on just about any subject. She had a quick wit and was famous for her funny comebacks. Playful and full of life, she also had an incredible memory for birthdays and loved hosting gatherings for family and friends. No matter the occasion, Debra was always put together and ready to celebrate life with the people she loved.

She is survived by her daughter, René Clark of Houston, Texas; her sons, Kelly Clark and wife Becky, and Jimmy Clark; her grandchildren, Zettie Raines, Francheska Clark, and Timmy Raines; and her great-grandson, Atlas Raines.

She is also survived by her brothers, Truman Beasley of Olathe, Kansas, Larrie Beasley and wife Laurie of Titusville, Florida, and Danny Allen and wife Delight of Wylie, Texas, as well as her companion, Amos Booth.

Debra was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Timothy J. Clark; her parents, Jim and Zettie Allen; and her brother, Skipper Beasley.

Debra will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her laughter, quick wit, and love for family will remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
