Michael Boyd Mollard, a dedicated husband, father, and brother, passed away on September 3, 2024, in Cottontown, Tennessee. Born on September 9, 1949, in Nashville, Tennessee, Michael's life was characterized by his deep commitment to his family, profession, and community.
A proud graduate of Isaac Litton High School, Michael embarked on a career as an installation technician with Simplex Fire Alarms. His expertise and skill earned him the respect of many project managers, who often requested him by name for their projects. Michael's work was not just a job; it was a testament to his commitment to quality and safety, qualities that were evident in all he undertook.
In his personal life, Michael was a man of many passions. He shared a special bond with his late brother, Herbie, working together on cars—a pursuit that not only nurtured their relationship but also showcased Michael's adeptness with machinery. A gun enthusiast and quick draw champion, he embraced activities that tested his skills and brought him joy. In addition to his mechanical pursuits, Michael had a remarkable talent for woodworking, where his precision and attention to detail shone through in each project he completed.
Michael was also a man of faith. He was a devoted member of Jesus Reigns Fellowship Church in Cottontown, where his strong Christian values guided his life and actions. He leaves behind a legacy not just of professional accomplishments but also one of spiritual integrity and moral strength.
He was preceded in death by his mother Lois "Dixie" Hodge Mollard, father John R. Mollard, and brother Herbie Mollard.
Michael is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Marilyn Mollard; daughters, Michelle Mollard and Valerie (Bobby) Farr. He also leaves behind stepson Jesse Lee (Casey) Tyler; brother John Mollard; grandchildren Temple, Kadi, and Hunter; great-grandchildren Aiden, Kaylee, Samuel, William, and Floyd Ray; his fur kid, Max; and several nieces and nephews.
