Michael D. “Mikey” Monroe, Jr., 26, Centralia, MO passed away Thursday, June 20, 2024, at the University of Missouri Hospital & Clinics in Columbia, MO. He was born in Columbia, MO June 18, 1998, the son of Michael Monroe, Sr. and the late Leota Michelle King of Centralia, MO
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his father Michael Monroe, Sr. of Centralia, MO; his brother Steven Monroe of Mexico, MO; his sister Erika Heckes of Moberly, MO; his grandmother Patricia Monroe of Columbia, MO, formerly of Centralia, MO; two aunts Claudette King and Ryan of Moberly, MO and Erica Monroe of Columbia, MO; two uncles Aaron Monroe of Columbia, MO and Chip Monroe of Mexico, MO; two nieces Ramiyah and Te’Anna; several cousins; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his mother, his grandparents, his aunt Jessica and two first cousins Chaston and Kristy Monroe preceded him in death.
Mikey enjoyed football, baseball, fishing and travelling with his family. He loved spending time with his brother and all of his family.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm Sunday, June 30, 2024, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Centralia, MO. A private family graveside service will be 2:00 pm Sunday, June 30, 2024, at the Centralia City Cemetery in Centralia, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to the family, payable to Oliver Funeral Home, P.O. Box 125, Centralia, MO 65240. Condolences may also be made to the family at www.oliverfuneralhome.net
