Moody, Michael D. (78 years of age) was born into eternal life on Wednesday, June 15, 2022. Beloved son of the late Thomas & Josephine Lavergne Moody (nee Ryan), dearest brother of the late Jean Marie and Richard J. (CPD) McFarlane, the late Thomas (Bonnie) Moody, the late James (Linda) Moody, and the late Anne (George) Loven. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews, cousin to many and a cherished friend to all who knew him.
Mike served in the United States Army (Korea). He was a free spirit who possessed a truly kind and gentle soul within. Music meant the world to Mike and while he never had any formal training, Mike could play any musical instrument that he picked up. He played with many well-known musicians and local artists. He entertained guests and animals alike with his music for 30+ years at the Lincoln Park Zoo. He loved to build things by hand. He raised many generations of chihuahuas and while Mike had no children, he loved his fur babies like they were his children.
He was born and raised in the South Side Canaryville neighborhood in Chicago and is a well-known Canaryville Legend who will be loved and missed by all.
