Met Michael and wife thru our Sunday School class at Cedar Springs. Just such a truly nice man and father. He will be missed.

Let me first say to Mary Margaret and family that I am so sorry for their loss. Michael was a one of a kind. He was an open book, and always thoughtful and considerate. I got to know Michael well in our Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) small group. The world needs more like him, and it was an honor to be his friend. We will all miss him greatly.

I'm very sorry to hear about Mike's passing. I've known Mike for almost 20 years professionally and considered him a friend from Day 1. I've spent many a day traveling through the beautiful highways and countryside of Eastern and Central Tennessee and always enjoyed his company, witty conversation, and stories about his family, Tennessee athletics, and life in general. I only spoke to Mike a few weeks ago; he is one of the most genuine human beings I've ever known.
To his family and friends, my company and I offer our deepest condolences. Mike had many gifts and treasures within himself. I'm a much better person for having known him, and this world is a bit more tarnished without him.
Rest well, my friend,
Doug Roy

Mike was always ready with a smile for me and always interested in me and my family. He had a way of caring that felt kind and loving. What a good and faithful man he was! I will miss him.

Tim & Hannah, so sorry for your loss. I only got to meet Mike once, but will always remember how he treated me like royalty. Christ showed in how he conducted himself.

I first met Mike on my first Hanitat Build in the Vestal community. He coaxed me up on the roof, to sweep grit off the new shingles. We must have built about 20 houses. Mike was also in our singles group, and we all did fun things together as a large group such as swing dancing, and contra dancing. I served with Mike on the local mission committee. I will always remember Mike for his kindness, concern, crazy jokes, love of gab, and infectious smile. He truly loved and served the Lord well. Mary Margaret, Tyler, Hannah and Cameron, my heart goes out to you all. I pray Jesus gives you good memories, and reminders that Mike is probably chatting with Jesus. We will see him again! Halleluia!
