Jim was preceded in death by his father, John Wallace Bernard.
He is survived by his sons, Jerry Nelson (Cheyenne Mize) Bernard and Cody James Bernard; daughter, Brittany Bernard; mother, Nancy Patton, and brothers, William John Bernard and Robert Gene Bernard; special friend, Marie and her children, Jenna and Larry; and several close friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at Bridges Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet at 1:45 PM on Wednesday at Bernard Cemetery for a 2:00 PM graveside service.
Pallbearers: Cory Bernard, Jason Bernard, Larry Davis, John Davis, Josh Bernard and Arlie Wilson.
