A bright, shining light went out in this world on January 26, 2025 as Michael (Mikey) Morganelli, of Weymouth, went home to be with the Lord.
Mikey loved Jesus and knew his Bible backward and forward and inside out. He told everyone he could about the saving grace of Jesus, because he had experienced it. Jesus died for Mikey, and Mikey lived for him.
His loss is felt keenly by the many people whose lives he touched. He was always the first to reach out a helping hand to those in need of it, never expecting anything in return. He enjoyed fishing with his friends and nephews, was an accomplished boxer, and was always quick with a goofy joke to get everyone laughing. He will be so, so missed.
Mikey was greeted in heaven by his grandfather Nicholas Morganelli Sr. of Boston, his grandmother Grace Morganelli of Boston, his grandfather James Choukas of Weymouth, his grandmother Marilyn Parent of Milton, and his nephew Matthew LaCroix of Hanover. He is survived by his beloved daughter Alexandra Morganelli of Ocala, FL, his father Nicholas Morganelli Jr. of Boston, his mother Marilyn Morganelli of Weymouth, his sisters Christina LaCroix and her husband Kevin LaCroix of Stark, NH, and Nicole Gavin and her husband Jeffrey Gavin of Holbrook, his brother Nicholas Morganelli III and Brittany Vachon of Braintree, as well as his nieces and nephews, great niece and great nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many loving friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Friday 2/7/2025 from 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A Celebration of Life will be celebrated on Saturday 2/8/2025 at 10AM at McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, prior to burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Weymouth.
