COOKEVILLE CHAPEL-Michael Mullins, was born on September 26, 1955, in Algood, Tennessee. He departed this world on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at Erlanger Baroness Hospital in Chattanooga, leaving behind a legacy defined by his kindness, humor, and infectious spirit.
Michael dedicated many years of his life to Bradmark Industrial Coatings in Cookeville, where he was known not only for his work ethic but also for his jovial personality. He was a bright light in the lives of those around him, bringing laughter and joy wherever he went. His passion for life was evident in everything he did, from his love for photography to his unwavering support for the Tennessee Titans. He found delight in the simple pleasures: watching cowboy movies and enjoying the company of friends.
A proud veteran, Michael served for 15 years in the United States Army, a period that instilled in him a sense of discipline and camaraderie that he carried throughout his life. His outgoing nature and profound love for his family, especially "his girls," endeared him to many. He was a devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend, and his memory will be held dear by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Michael is survived by his beloved sisters-Glenda Brown, sister of the heart, Ann Jordan, Brenda Savage, Faye Mullins, Janice (Jerry) Myers, and Lisa Mullins; and his brothers-Thomas Mullins, Steven (Angie) Mullins, Phillip Mullins, Tracey (Sandy) Mullins, and Shun Mullins. He was also a treasured son, remembered fondly by all for his cherished mother, Dorothy Mullins, who has preceded him in death. In addition, he leaves behind an aunt, Elizabeth Bohannon, as well as numerous nieces and nephews whose lives he touched with his warmth and laughter. He also leaves behind his beloved dog "Madea" whom he loved dearly.
Funeral services with military honors will be held Saturday, April 12th at 1:00 p.m. at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper, Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Algood Heritage Cemetery.
His family will receive friends Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
