Mr. William "Bill" Mullins, 84, of Barbourville, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday morning, January 23, 2026 at University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. Bill was born July 27, 1941 in Paris to the late William and Clara Carl Mullins.
He was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Barbourville, where he loved attending and serving as a greeter on Sunday mornings. He worked as a service manager and advisor for several Kentucky car dealerships for fifty years. Bill loved his family and treasured time spent with them.
On November 24, 2011, he united in marriage with Beverly Hodge Parsons in Lexington. Bill was a gentle, kind and loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. Beverly was the love of his life and he said many times that the 20 years with her were the best years of his life. One example of the many love letters that he wrote to Beverly follows.
"I loved you ere I knew you,
out there somewhere waiting,
waiting, where are you,
and then you were there,
my dream lover.
It happened.
I knew it could happen.
Thank you God.
I will always love her, treasure her.
You brought her to me.
You made my dream come true.
I'll always be the man in love with you."
–Bill
