Michael P Murphy

STERLING: Michael Patrick Murphy, 61, of Sterling, died Thursday, May 23rd in UMass Memorial Medical Center, Worcester. He leaves his brother, Ryan S. Murphy, sisters; Barbara A. Murphy and Kelley J. Murphy; his two lifelong friends; Michael and Marie-Anne Lavallee of Holden, an aunt, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mike was born in Worcester, the son of Edward J. and Joanne T. (Gallagher) Murphy and later graduated from Wachusett Regional High School. He then went on to serve his country with the US Navy stationed in San Diego, Calif. He was a driver for several local area companies including Paul Revere Insurance Company and Pepsi. Michael enjoyed spending time in nature and with animals. Mike had an infectious and humorous personality with a contagious laugh.
A Memorial Service will be held at the MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 111 Glenallen St., Winchendon, MA, on June 13th at 11 A.M.
