With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Donald O'Hara, a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. Michael's life was one filled with love, music, and steadfast dedication to those around him. Michael married the love of his life, Carolynne, on July 8, 1995, at Our Lady Queen of All Saints in Fraser, a union that began with their first date on February 13, 1993. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised two wonderful children, Megan and Brendan (fiancée Jessica), who were the center of Michael's world. He is survived by his siblings: Nickolas (first wife, the late Suzie) (Debbie) O'Hara, Jim (Debbie) O'Hara, David (Donna) O'Hara, Rosanne (the late Tom) Hinebrook, Janet O'Hara, Robert O'Hara, and Patricia (Ken) Stempowski. He is predeceased by his siblings Linda (Barry) Moore, Jackie (Norman) Hardy, and Edward O'Hara. Michael was also a cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews-Sean, Ryan, David (deceased), Dawn, Rebecca (deceased), Samantha (deceased), Jennifer (deceased), Jonathan, Nickolas, Mackenzie, Emily, Brandan, Krystal, Kevin, Kyle, Kristopher, Stephanie, Joshua, Ashley, James, Amber, Michael, Zachary, and Nathan-and a proud great-uncle to many more. A man of music, Michael was a proud participant in the St. Lawrence Catholic Church Choir. His passion for instruments began in high school, where he played drums and piano and marched with the Fraser marching band Symphonic. As well as being a part of the marching band and symphonic band for Eastern Michigan while in school. Music was a thread woven throughout his life, whether it was singing with Megan, drumming with friends, or simply sharing a song that meant something to him. Michael was deeply involved in the lives of his children-building a deck with Brendan, camping as a family in Algonac or the Smoky Mountains, fixing cars, or riding his motorcycle with them. He treasured the small moments too, like ice cream runs to Dairy Queen with Carolynne for their beloved dogs Harley and Benjamin, and remembering with love their late dog Rosie. Coffee trips to Tim Horton's with Carolynne were a cherished routine. He was passionate about lawn care and snow removal, always keeping his home looking its best and going out of his way to help neighbors with their yards and driveways. Michael's giving nature, love for family, and steady presence will be remembered and missed by all who knew him. Michael's life was a testament to the beauty of simple joys, the power of music, and the importance of family. His legacy will live on in the songs he loved, the laughter he shared, and the love he gave so freely. Visitation will take place at the Wm. Sullivan and Son Funeral Home located at 8459 Hall Road, Utica on Monday (August 11th) from 2 - 8pm, with a Vigil Service: Scriptural Rosary at 7pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday (August 12th) at St. Lawrence Catholic Church 44633 Utica Road, Utica. Michael will lie in state at 9:30am until time of her Funeral Mass at 10am
