Michael O'Rourke Obituary

Michael graduated from Fordham University in the Bronx and earned his law degree from New York Law School. He was a member of the Brooklyn and New York State Bar Associations; the Elks Lodge, Knights of Columbus, and the Ancient Order of Hibernians. He started wintering in Sarasota since 2009 from Port Washington, New York. He enjoyed photography as well as Irish history and culture.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 51 years, Maureen; children Dawn Nicewarner and her husband Keith; Maureen Gonzalez and her husband Frank; Michael Joseph O'Rourke and his wife Vicki; and Kerry Howe and her husband Sean; grandchildren Kevin, Chris, Sabriel, Connor, Tiernan, Brendan, Michael Joseph O'Rourke III; Sean Patrick, and Emma Grace.
In addition to his parents, Michael was predeceased by his siblings Patrick, Mary, Helen, and James.
There will be memorial mass on Friday, March 1, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Church of St. Patrick, 7900 Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota Florida 34241. And also Monday, May 20, 2024 at 10:00 am at the Notre Dame Church, 359 Central Avenue, North Caldwell, NJ 07006
