Michael Scott Obray

North Ogden - Michael (Mike) Obray, 59, passed asway on September 21st, 2023. He was born on March 23rd, 1964, in Ogden, UT. Growing up, Mike was a sociable, happy person who enjoyed playing music, dance, theater, and film. He was a member of Weber High's cheer squad and, after high school, performed with a ballet company. He was loved by his friends and family. He found joy in supporting those around him, even if it was just kind words of encouragement. For a time, Mike found a home in California, where he enjoyed the warm weather, the ocean, body building, and an accepting community. He eventually returned home to be closer to family, where he lived out the rest of his life.
Mike is survived by his mother Vicki Obray, brothers Jeff (Tammie), Matt (Jessica), Dustin, and Jed, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Larry Obray, and brothers Kevin, and Bob (Jennifer).
A graveside service for family and close friends will be held on Saturday, October 7th, at Ben Lomond Cemetery, North Ogden, at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests sending memorial contributions to The Trevor Project, or amfAR.
