Michael Lee Odom, 49, of Lake Charles, passed away at his home on January 17, 2025. Born on September 16th, 1975, to Kenneth Sr. and Sylvia Odom, Michael was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles.
After graduating from LaGrange High School, Michael began his career as an engineer at KPLC-TV before transitioning to a career in sales across various industries.
Friends and family will always remember Michael for his outgoing personality and tremendous sense of humor. Wherever there was laughter, Michael was sure to be at the center of it. He had a deep love for his family, especially his daughters, Kailey and Laci, and was eagerly anticipating the arrival of his first granddaughter, Delilah.
Michael's talents were evident in everything he pursued. He was a gifted athlete, a skilled craftsman, and a diligent worker. However, it was his boundless capacity for spreading joy and creating unforgettable moments that most endeared him to those who knew him.
Michael was preceded in death by his wife, Jennifer (Hebert) Odom; his brother, Brandon Odom; his maternal grandmother, Elfriede Kendrick; his paternal grandparents, Marvin and Melba (Tuneberg) Odom; and by his "Uncle Paw Paw," Warren Ogden Odom. He is survived by his parents Kenneth Sr. and Sylvia Odom; his daughters, Kailey (Odom) Tullos and husband Patrick and Laci Odom; his soon-to-be-born granddaughter, Delilah Tullos; the mother of daughters, Fanny (Foreman) Odom; his brother, Kenneth Odom Jr., his maternal grandfather, Thomas R. Kendrick; and an extended family of beloved in-laws, nieces, nephews, uncles, cousins, and countless friends.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, January 28th from 4pm-8pm.
Cremation arrangements were entrusted by Johnson Funeral Home.
