Michael Anthony Oliver, 65, transitioned to heaven peacefully on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Aspire Senior Living.
Michael was born December 28, 1958, in Moberly, Missouri, to Geneva (Oliver) McQuary and Wilson Smith.
Michael was a brakeman on the railroad as well as a chef for many years.
Michael was a wonderful son, brother, uncle, father, grandfather, cousin, nephew and friend. He would help anyone in need. He was an amazing chef, very family oriented and was a provider. Michael was a tough man with a gentle soul who carried a never give up attitude.
Michael loved sitting at McDonalds reading the bible, his friends called him “Preacher man”. He loved the Lord and gave his life to Christ. He read the bible a total of 13 times all the way through.
Preceding him in death are his mother, father, uncles and aunts.
He is survived by his son, Michael Mozee of Jefferson City, MO; grandson, Carmelo Anthony Mozee; sisters, Sandy Oliver and Denice Wilson both of Moberly, MO; brothers, LaRue McQuary (Tracy Polson) of Moberly, MO and Jerry (Janice) Thompson of St. Louis, MO; aunt, Shirley and aunt, Net; a host of nieces; nephews and special friends, DeeDee, Mr. Johnson and Mr. Charlie.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Pathway-Millard Family Funeral Chapel, followed by a funeral service beginning at 4:00 p.m.
