Michael Ourand Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Evans Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services - Parkville on Jan. 29, 2026.
Michael James Ourand, 71, of Rosedale passed away peacefully at his home on January 26, 2026.

He was born on July 31, 1954 to the late James Ourand and late Mary Ourand Rosche in College Park, Maryland. The family moved to Reisterstown, MD in 1969 and he graduated from Franklin High School (class of '72) as well as the University of Maryland Baltimore County.

He enjoyed a long and dedicated career in the grocery industry, serving in various managerial roles throughout his life. Michael was an enthusiastic reader and loved playing golf and skiing. He treasured time spent with his large extended family, especially during ski trips to Lake Tahoe and vacations in Ocean City, Maryland. A lifelong admirer of classic cars-particularly Volkswagens-he also enjoyed listening to rock music and learning to play the guitar. Above all, he cherished sharing a good meal and meaningful moments with his sons.

Michael is survived by his 2 children, Sean Ourand and Ryan Ourand; siblings, Dennis Ourand (Tama), Kathleen Ourand, John Ourand (Denise), Marie Ourand, Richard Rosche (Jackie), James Ourand (Beth), Michael Rosche (Dawn) and Martin Ourand (Lisa) as well as 11 nieces and nephews.

Family and Friends are invited to celebrate Michael's life at Evans Funeral Chaple, 8800 Harford Rd, Parkville, MD. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026 10:00 – 12:00 pm. Interment to follow at Parkwood Cemetery, 3100 Taylor Ave., Baltimore, MD
