Michael L. Padgett

Michael L. Padgett, 60, of Lake City, passed away on Sunday morning, November 23, 2025, doing what he loved doing, hunting in the South Georgia Woods. He was born in Bradford County on January 11, 1965 and has made the Lake City & White Springs area his home most of his life. He was currently working for Nutrien in White Springs as an Oiler and prior to that, worked for Mid-State. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, being with his grandchildren and his friends. He was also a HUGE Florida Gator Fan. He is preceded in death by his wife of 33 years, Jessie G. Padgett; and his father, Loran Padgett.

He is survived by his son, Brandon Padgett (Katie) of Lake City; grandchildren, Ella, Livy and Sutton Padgett all of Lake City; brothers, Kelly Padgett (Anita) and Andy Padgett both of Lake City; and his sister, Marti Vicenzi of Lake City. He is also survived by his closest friends, Johnny & Jackie Trowell, and Danielle & Jacob Trowell all of Lake City.

A memorial service for Mr. Padgett will be conducted on Monday, December 15, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jeff Wethington officiating.
