Michael “Pappy” Kent Guymon
April 25, 1949 – April 17, 2025
Michael Guymon, 75, passed away on April 17, 2025, peacefully in Cheyenne, WY at the Cheyenne VA Center. He was born April 25, 1949, in Milford, Utah to his parents Kent B. Guymon and Patricia L. Flanary. He was the oldest of 12 children.
He came to Cheyenne when he was a young child and graduated from Central High School.
After graduation, he joined the Marine Corps and served during the Vietnam war.
As an adult he enjoyed his 2 favorite past times in life, Wild Horse Racing and riding his motorcycle. He was a member of the Freedom Riders Motorcycle club where he was affectionately known as “Pappy” and has been a beloved member for over 35 years. He served as the Treasurer of Freedom Riders MC for 35 years and was a part of ABATE Wyoming where he served some time as Treasurer also.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Kent B. Guymon and Patrica L. Flanary; two grandchildren, Zachary A. Felzien and Caydence L. Brannaman; five brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his son, Joshua A. Guymon (Garden City, KS); daughters, Patti J. Felzien (Cheyenne, WY), Carlee S. Brannaman (Battle Mountain, NV); brother, Donald McDaniel (Cheyenne, WY); and sisters, Kay Dettling (Cheyenne, WY), Mary Cundick, and Karen Guymon-Breitrick (Ruth, Nevada); as well as his six grandchildren.
Services will be held Friday April 25, 2015, at 2 p.m. in Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel, in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
