Michael Dewaine Parker

Mr. Michael Dewaine, 71, was born on September 15, 1954, in Lake Village, AR, to the late Willie E. Parker and Sylvia Mae Taylor. He departed this life on January 18, 2026, at Chicot Memorial Hospital in Lake Village, AR. Michael accepted Christ at an early age, uniting with Christian Liberty Missionary Baptist Church. In his early years, Michael was very active in sports: basketball and baseball. He graduated in 1972 from Lakeside High School. Michael attended UAM, where he continued to play basketball before enlisting in the Army in 1976. During Michael's Army time, he served time in Germany. Michael was a very devoted son, brother, and Father.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother-in-Law, James Taylor; and one nephew, Jamie Hinson.

Michael leaves to cherish his memories to his two daughters, Sylvia Rose Parker and Tameka Mouncil both of Lake Village, AR; his two sisters, Olevia Taylor of Dallas, TX, and Ebony "Nikki" (Spyri) Grant Holliman of Dermott, AR; his one step-sister, Nakeya Plummer of Desoto, TX; his one step-brother, Terry (Akecia) Cunningham of Stockbridge, GA; his step-mother, Alma Parker of Dermott, AR; his God mother, Betty Dunbar of Lake Village, AR; one Aunt, Betty Ahmod of pine Bluff, AR; six grandkids; two close cousins, Evora (Glen) McJoy of Lake Village, AR, and Thelma Taylor of Houston, TX; two special friends Nancy Johnson and Victor Davis both of Lake Village, AR; bonus son, Trentes Bethune of Lake Village, AR; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Bishop-King Funeral Home Chapel.
